NAEA Member

(Open to EAs only)

Fees:
$285 annual fee

If you live in a state that has a State Chapter,  you will automatically be enrolled in chapter membership with no extra fee.

If your state does not have a chapter, view NAEA State Affiliates.  Affiliates operate independently from direct NAEA governance. Members are encouraged to join (but are not required). Members may join state affiliates independently from NAEA membership by visiting the state affiliate website.

SEE Passer New Member Discount

(Open to new enrolled agents only)

Fees:
$185 annual fee
($100 discount off first year of membership)

SEE Passers get FREE access to NAEA’s Line by Line Tax Basic Certificate Program.

Eligibility:
To qualify for NAEA SEE Passer membership, candidate MUST agree to provide the NAEA membership department documentation showing that you passed the Special Enrollment Exam (SEE) within the last 12 months.

This should be one of the following:

  • Enrolled Agent License
  • Enrolled Agent Certificate
  • Prometric Score Reports for all three parts of the Special Enrollment Exam

The SEE Passer discount cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.

NAEA Associate

(Open to unenrolled preparers and aspiring EAs)

Fees:
$285 annual fee.

Associates get FREE access to the Surgent EA Review Course-Part 1

Academic Associate

(Open to students and instructors)

Fees:
2-year complimentary membership.

$35 for each subsequent year after complimentary period for up to 8 years. After this 10-year period, the member must change to an Associate or Regular membership type.

Eligibility:
Those in an accredited college or professional school in a tax, accounting, or finance program applying for a complimentary Academic Associate Membership, please provide one of the following:

  • Copy of your Class Schedule
  • Copy of your Transcripts
  • A letter from your Dean as proof of eligibility

*Individuals defined by IRS Circular 230 (i.e. EAs, CPAs, CFPs, etc.) are not eligible for this membership type.

Emeritus Membership

(Open to retirees)

Fees:
$71 annual fee

  • Emeritus status is for individuals who have fully retired from practice.
  • You must have already indicated to the IRS on Renewal Form 8554 that you desire “inactive retirement status.”
  • You must be a regular member in good standing with an active membership for at least one year in order to apply for Emeritus membership

Instructions:
Email membership@alexblog.net with a PDF copy of your letter from the IRS confirming your inactive agent status.
